Align & distribute

Select several objects — the properties panel shows Align & distribute under Transform:

• Align lines everything up on one edge (left, right, top, bottom) or on a shared centre line.
• Distribute makes the gaps between the objects equal — the first and the last stay where they are.
• Gap sets the spacing exactly in centimetres, e.g. a 120 cm aisle between every row of tables.

Groups move as one: a table with its chairs stays a table with its chairs. Locked objects stay put — the others align to them, e.g. every table centred on the locked stage.
